Danehill Dancer Filly Impresses in US

29th June 2007

Lightly raced three year-old filly Itsawonderfullife (3f Danehill Dancer – Cahermee Queen, by King of Kings) caught the eye of track watchers at Churchill Down on Thursday when she strode away to break her maiden by five and a half lengths.

Making her second appearance in America after finishing third on debut to subsequent Group One winner Miss Beatrix at Leopardstown in Ireland last year, Itsawonderfullife sprinted quickly in the straight to win the mile maiden on turf for fillies and mares by five and a half lengths.

Now trained by Patrick Biancone, Itsawonderfullife was labeled a ‘TDN Rising Star’ after her sizzling performance and will be one to keep an eye on in coming months along with her stakes-winning stablemate Good Mood, who is also by Danehill Dancer.

Bred and offered for sale by Lynn Lodge Stud, Itsawonderfullife (pictured as a yearling)  fetched 140,000 euros at the 2005 Goffs Million Sale and is the first foal of her dam Cahermee Queen, a half-sister to Group Two winners Esteemed Friend and Badouizm from stakes-winning producer Charlotte Amalie.

Danehill Dancer is the leading sire in Europe by individual winners this year with over 50 including top class miler Jeremy who was beaten a short head in the Group One Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot.

In Australia, Danehill Dancer is also in top form with 91 winners including a dozen stakes horses and will stand the coming season in Australia at a fee of $110,000.
