Hawk Wing impresses the trainers

16th May 2007

Expect to be hearing a lot more about Hawk Wing in the upcoming weeks, his first crop are making the right impression with the people that really matter - their trainers.

Steve Taplin's annual book ‘Two-Year-Olds Of 2007', containing interviews with many leading trainers, has just been published by Timeform and here are a few of their comments:

(2c Hawk Wing-Rich Dancer by Halling) - David Elsworth: "A quality act and as nice a 2yo as I've got. A lovely-topped horse and a good mover."

Let Us Prey
(2c Hawk Wing-Entail by Riverman) - Neville Callaghan: "This is a very, very nice horse that goes really well...he shows speed and does everything right."

Soaring Falcon (2c Hawk Wing-Schust Madame by Second Set) - Dermot Weld: "A very nice colt ....he's well forward and his half-brother won a Group 3 last year. I would hope this colt will be a stakes horse too."

Danse Aile (2f Hawk Wing-Dance Desire by Caerleon) - Kevin Prendergast: "One of my favourites - she's a very, very nice filly. Big and strong like her sire, she has a good attitude and a good motion."

(2f Hawk Wing- For Example by Northern Baby) - David Elsworth: "She's very nice ... and could easily make a 2yo over seven furlongs and she goes well."

(2c Hawk Wing-Hampton Lucy by Anabaa)-Brian Meehan: "A nice horse, I like him a lot ... and he's possibly a stakes horse."

Acclaimed (2c Hawk Wing-Park Charger by Tirol)- Jeremy Noseda: "He's a good-moving colt and one that I like. I hope he'll develop into a smart 2yo for the second half of the season."

(2f Hawk Wing-Lindesberg by Doyoun) - Mick Channon: "She has a bit of quality about her."

Bid Art (2c Hawk Wing-Crystal Theatre by King's Theatre) - Andrew Balding: "A grand sort, I'm pleased with the Hawk Wing two-year-olds we have got."
