28th Stakes-Winner for Fusaichi Pegasus

15th May 2007

Fusaichi Pegasus was represented by a new stakes-winner at Kenilworth in South Africa at the weekend when American bred four-year old mare Our Table Mountain (4m Fusaichi Pegasus - Hidden Light, by Majestic Light) saluted in the Listed Olympic Duel Stakes over 1200 metres.

Our Table Mountain cruised home to beat 15 other runners by a length and a half in posting her fifth win from seven starts for the Joey Ramsden stable.

A $250,000 purchase from the 2004 Keeneland September Yearling Sale, Our Table Mountain is now a most valuable acquisition for South African owner Graham Beck with a Black Type win to go with her superb pedigree.

Bred by Haras du Mezeray, Our Table Mountain is a half-sister to Group One winning miler Artie Schiller from the former outstanding Majestic Light racemare Hidden Light, a winner of six races including the Group One Hollywood and Santa Anita Oaks.

A full sister to another Group One winner in Prince True, Hidden Light is a daughter of triple Group One winner Tallahto.

Our Table Mountain is the 28th stakes-winner worldwide for Fusaichi Pegasus and is his first Black Type winner in South Africa.
