Ashley's Kitty Headlines Big Weekend for Tale of the Cat

Ashley's Kitty (Tale of the Cat -- Pretty 'n Smart, by Beau Genius) won the G3 Railbird Stakes at Hollywood Park on Sunday, capping off a weekend that saw progeny of Tale of the Cat win five races, including two stakes. Ashley's Kitty came three wide into the stretch and got up just at the wire to win the seven-furlong contest by a nose. It was the third win in four starts for the three-year-old filly. In the race just prior to the Railbird Stakes at Hollywood, Delicate Cat (Tale of the Cat -- White Lace, by Whitesburg) broke her maiden in her second start, winning by two lengths. Tale of the Cat's other stakes winner of the weekend, Taletobetold (Tale of the Cat -- Exigent, by Miswaki) held off rivals to capture the Open Mind Stakes by a length at Churchill on Saturday. Additionally, Tale of the Cat had claiming and maiden winners on Friday at Finger Lakes and Stampede Park.
