Guineas-bound Alexander Tango takes G3 for Danehill Dancer
14th May 2007
Sunday’s G3 Irish 1,000 Guineas Trial at Leopardstown was turned into a procession when the Danehill Dancer filly Alexander Tango (3f Danehill Dancer-House in Wood) ran away with the mile contest by three lengths from Rock Of Gibraltar’s sister Nell Gwyn (3f Danehill-Offshore Boom by Be My Guest).
Trainer Tommy Stack is set to target Noel O’Callaghan’s filly, who was bred by Philip Brady, at the G1 Irish 1,000 Guineas.
"She was able to quicken away from the others before seeing the mile out well. I’m very pleased with her," said Stack.
