Smart Oscar Novice Chaser Bids For G1 Glory

Offshore Account (7g Oscar - Park Breeze by Strong Gale), a half-brother to G1 Hennessy Gold Cup winner The Listener bred by Daniel and Patrick Keating, completed a three-timer when landing the G3 Hugh McMahon Memorial Novice Chase at Limerick on Sunday and is now set to bid for G1 glory at the Punchestown Festival.

Jockey David Casey took the lead after the sixth fence and - despite a strong challenge from runner-up Laetitia - Offshore Account always looked determined to land the spoils. The G1 Ellier Developments Hanover Quay Novice Chase at Punchestown on Tuesday, April 24 is now on the agenda.

"Jumping is this fellow’s forte, he loves it," said winning trainer Charlie Swan. "He’s a brave horse and will run at Punchestown as long as the ground doesn’t dry out too much for him."
