FIRST CROP CRACKER FOR ANTONIUS PIUS

22nd January 2007

First crop cracker for Antonius Pius.

First crop sire Antonius Pius had his first known foal born in Ballylooby, Knocklong, Co. Limerick on Saturday. The colt is out of Break For Tee who is already dam of two winners and two placed runners including Trop Chere, herself dam of White Snow – winner of two races and Listed placed at two years in 2006. Break For Tee is a half-sister to five blacktype winners and to the dam of dual Grade 1 winner River Keen. Breeder Matt Gleeson commented: “He’s a cracker of a colt with good bone and plenty of size and strength. He is probably the mare’s best foal to date so I’ll most likely breed her back to Antonius Pius.”
