Thunder Gulch’s son The Luckiest was 4/5 favourite at the first asking in a maiden event. Never far from the front, the $130,000 KEESEP yearling collared Miss Tizzy in the stretch and prevailed by 1 ¼ lengths.On Sunday afternoon Giant’s Causeway was responsible for siring two winners in North America. Juvenile Mike Fox won for the second time in his racing career. He broke his maiden at first asking, and followed with a third-place effort in the restricted Cup and Saucer Stakes on the turf, on October 15th. The Ontario-bred advanced into contention approaching the far turn, took aim on C J’s Lightning leaving the eighth pole and drove past him to take the win by a neck. Another winner for Giant's Causeway, Fairy Princess, was $425,000 KEESEP yearling. Trying something other than turf for the first time in her career; she dashed out to an early lead and widened her advantage galloping home a seven-length winner.
Dubai Wings (Fusaichi Pegasus) earned his third win in his racing career at Philadelphia Park.
