5-time Gr1-winning 6YO mare Soviet Song (Marju-Kalinka, by Soviet Star) "one of the outstanding fillies of recent times" is to be covered by dual-Derby winning sire Montjeu (Sadler's Wells-Floripedes, by Top Ville) in her 1st season at stud next year. Soviet Song "was the 18,000-member Elite Racing Club's flag-bearer during a glittering 4-year career" that began with victory as a 2YO in the 2002 Gr1 Fillies' Mile & followed with victories in the 2004 Gr1 Sussex Stakes, Gr1 Matron Stakes & Gr1 Falmouth Stakes, plus the Gr1 Falmouth Stakes again in 2005. This season she won the Gr2 Windsor Forest Stakes at Royal Ascot & finished her career with runner-ups in both the Gr1 Sussex Stakes at Goodwood in August & Gr1 Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket on September 30.
