MONTARE SCORES FOR MIGHTY MONTJEU

George Strawbridge's progressive home-bred Montjeu filly Montare (4f Montjeu - Contare by Shirley Heights) gave her sire another big race success when capturing the G2 Prix de Royallieu at Longchamp.

The filly had finished second in the G1 Prix Vermeille on her previous start and came with a well-timed late run to land the Prix de Royallieu under Olivier Peslier. "She really deserved this victory and is all heart," said Strawbridge.

Trainer Jonathan Pease added: "She is very game and hopefully can her win her first Group 1 in the G1 Prix Royal-Oak back here next month."
