G3 success for Rock

Spoil The Fun (5h Rock of Gibraltar-Avezia, by Night Shift) enjoyed a productive journey from France when winning the G3 Premio del Piazzale at San Siro in Milan on Sunday.

The son of Rock Of Gibraltar, trained by Christophe Ferland, settled off the pace before coming up the inside rail to score by three lengths in the mile contest.

Ferland told EBN: “Our goal was to win a Group with him and we can now say: mission accomplished. I think the season is over for him. Now he will have a rest and will stay in training, with a European campaign in mind next year.”

Bred by Snig Elevage, Spoil The Fun was bought by owner Prime Equestrian for 55,000 euros at the 2011 Arqana Breeze-Up Sale.
